A friend has asked me to build him a new PC. His not a very heavy gamer mainly strategy type games not FPS. He does lots of PS and video editing.
How do you rate these specs.

The 9800GT is just a renamed 8800GT and nothing more. Personally i would be looking at spending a little extra for the ATI 4850. If not just get the cheapest 512mb 8800GT. There's one in B-grade for £83.

The case is really not to my taste but that's personal preference. You still need a quality psu to power that lot too.

I'd get a 4850. Much faster and not that much extra. But like Pasty said you could always grab a cheap 8800gt if you're set on it.

i say this in nearly every spec thread, 320gb and 640gb hard drives are faster than 500gb ones so pick either one :)

Thanks for that gusy, how does this spec look. Also would like a tool free case with removal mobo trat, any suggestions?

what's wrong with the case guys?:confused: all the reviews on the site were good.
Any suggestions for a tool free with a removal mobo tray. PSU is not a issue as i have tagan 580 and a Antec eathrware 480.

Something like the Antec 300 would be leagues better (its not 'tooless' but really that does not make the slightest bit of difference). Cases with removeable mb trays are usually more expensive. What's your budget for the case?

Honestly, that XClio is the worse thing ever. There is nothing worse. Its terrible beyond reproach. Dust magnet + cheap build quality + uglyness + bad internals + the fact it was built in the first place + Robert Mugabe lives an extra day every time someone buys an XClio case + a waste of £37 + it sucks = epic fail.

Site reviews are totally worthless, this place is trying to sell you stuff remember? Not that I'm denying 5 star reviewers are happy with their purchase, they probably are.

Mu budget is around £60 MAX W/O PSU as I have a tagan 580.

Coolermaster CM690 is what you want mate, avoid the Antec 300. Its a shocking case for the money and I dunno why people keep recommending it tbh, should be £20 less and then it would be worth it.

The CM690 has some proper cable management options, shed loads more space, better airflow and superior build quality for just over a tenner more.
