Right here is my new build couple of questions

spec.jpg

I feel they GFX is overkill but expect it to last ...?? would i be wrong with this.

Also any advice on parts at all is appreicated.

Is the PSU ok ? Should I get another HD for raid 0 will i notice the difference.. I am holding some cash back atm for a SSD also or should I get one know. Regards to the bluray burner is that overkill I dont expect ill use it much for backups etc.

I can spend more but anywere i can spent less is good also.

I play mainly WoW and then other bits and bobs I would use it to watch films probably.

Cheers

Firstly, holy WTF with the PSU. You don't need 1100W PSU. A 600W will be more than enough for that spec. You could go with a 4870X2 to save some money, the difference in speed is not much compared to the price.

If that with in your budget then its a good spec.

The gpu isn't overkill at all IMO. with that and the i7 you will run every current game at 1920 x 1200 and furute games for quite a while.

If your not planning going sli then yes the PSU is a little overkill, but Tagan are a good make if you want to keep it.

Stay with 1 hdd for the moment and wait a month for more comprehensive reviews about the new OCZ SSD's. And if your using it to store a lot of movies you don't want a raided sys, double the failure rate.

Yay - after 10 minutes I can edit my post :)

Please delete - double post & install a new Hampster :)

PSU

Was considering the possiblity of SLI but if anything like i am normally i wont bother so might drop down the PSU.

Gonna drop the Blu ray burner also i think. Really waiting on the OCZ's new SSD reviews as mentioned above. Anyone seen anything ?
