first off, what sort of budget are you working with and whats it going to be used for ?

from your spec, i wouldn't bother going ddr3, if you can go for the 8500 over the 8400 processor.

the 850w psu is overkill 600-700w should do you fine, have a look at the 620w version of the coolermaster you spec'd.

have a look at the Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir CPU Cooler.

what size monitor/res do you run at and any plans to upgrade in the short term ?

Are you going to be overclocking? If so, i'd get a better cpu cooler.
And i'd swap out the psu for a corsair or be quiet for that price you're paying for that Coolermaster.
Other than that.. looks good :)

When you say 'i will have this build by september', what do you mean?
You're not buying until end of august/beg of september? What?

ill be using it for gaming, and my budget is about £1200-£1500 yes i would like to OC it, ive heard u can kick 4.5ghz out of that processor so i thought ill give it a try :)
screen res 1920x1080 HD monitor (haven't found one yet*)
and im waiting until September so i can save money for student bills etc :)

many thanks, Rob

Ahh with that money, go with an i7 build. A lot more future proof, and better performance anyway. I can spec you an i7 rig if you want to consider that instead?

And as you're not gonna buy til september, i wouldn't hold a rig on a spec now.. just use it as a guideline, because although it's 4 months, things come out all the time and stuff get cheaper, etc.

is that budget to INCLUDE the monitor ?, if not then swap the monitor for a raid set of solid state drives and use the 1tb drive for storage.

Awesome, mp260767 is that future proof for the next few years?
i can always upgrade :)

yeah thats a decent setup, if anything comes out ill be sure to update :)

many thanks, Rob

no reason why it shouldn't last a couple of years, not aware of anyone dropping in any new sockets as yet but anything can happen in the next few months :D

well the i5 will be coming out, which is supposedly placed under the i7, why they released the i7 first i dont know...but the i7 board/chip/memory will be around i presume the same length of time the 775 boards have been out.
