Hello, just wondering of what people thought of this build i might do in the summer

Q6700
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
GTX260
4GB G Skill ram 1066MHz
Antec 300 case
Lite-on litescribe dvdrw
Noctua UH-12P cpu cooler
2 red/blue LED intake fans
Logitech X-340 2.1 speakers
Asus VH222H screen 1080p 22"
OCZ Elixir II Keyboard

Looks like a good spec.

What PSU will you be going for and will you be needing an operating system/ hard disk?

As for monitors, the asus is a good price for a full hd monitor. however, it uses a tn panel and its image quality is not the best. Here is a review.

If you are interested - the dell 2209wa is a brilliant monitor for £37 more, it uses a superior e-ips screen, and many forum members (including myself) have one and are very happy with it. Here is a review for it.

In terms of coolers, if you are meaning the NH-U12P then that is a great cooler. It will keep your chip very cool and remain extremely quiet.

As you are getting such a silent cooler - you may want to consider getting some nice noctua silent case fans like these - instead of the LED ones which will undoubtedly be considerably noisier.

Everything else looks great.

Thanks for the reply

Lol, i knew i would miss something

320GB Western Digital 7200rpm hard drive
PSU wise, im unsure now, but i have thought about Corsair TX650W (non modular) or the OCZ 600/700W modular.

For fans, i think ive seen Alaska red/blue led fans which claim less than 10db, also seen a website with £15 fans, apparently really good.

For the monitor, i dont really want to spend much more. I am on ******** Forum too (dont kill me) and they say that the asus monitor is really good and would reccomend to everyone, but seeing that review makes me think.

When you say in the summer, what do you mean? because if its more than a few weeks away its not worth getting set on s specfic build list as prices can fluctuate quite a bit in a couple of monhts and chances are you'd be able to get more for your money by time it comes around

like probably around a month, maybe a month and a half.

i know it will change. I have the i7 in mind, if i was buying now, too expensive, but hopefully i will get enough money tomorrow( my birthday) to stretch, but now i dont see much point
