So the time has come to replace the rest of my computers old parts, and use them with new parts that I will buy. Looking for some advice on that, so far the new parts I will use that I already bought earlier in the year are:

Gainward GTX 260

PC Power and Cooling 750w

What I still need are the processor (going for i7), motherboard, RAM, case (something like the Coolermaster Elite 335 which is used in OC's prebuilt computers will do), and probably a good sound system but got some friends advice on that one and still dont know if I need it. Max I want to spend on these last parts is £600ish

What i've come up with so far is

unless your planning to get another 260, i'd go with the 610w version.

memory wise have a look at the Patriot Viper 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800.

other gfx card option would be a 1gb 4870.

case either the coolermaster mentioned or antec 300.

if your looking to over clock get an after market cooler like the Prolimatech Megahalems or Titan Fenrir.

depending on what your sound system will be for have a look at the Asus Xonar D2/d2x.

You misunderstood, the power supply and GFX i already own, i bought the larger power supply because i plan to dual GFX cards at a later point. Just want advice on the CPU/mobo, case and RAM really

Yeah been reading some other topics and people are suggesting that, sounds good to me if it saves £25 quid, now i just need to find out if i have a copy of vista 64 available anywhere

Why the i7? I has a lower stock speed than the Phenom II X4 955, is far more expensive, you're paying more for less.

And some Thermal Purifier + Remove and some MX-2.

As for how do you get Windows 7, the RC is available from they're website. And yeah, i've got a cheaper alternative or two: Linux. I like Linux Mint, probably a good bet for gaming since it's based off Ubuntu, good compatibility. Google are also releasing a Linux OS, have to wait and see how that is.
