been thinking about these specs. one thing i need help on deciding on is whether to go crossfire with the 4890 i already have or to get a 5870 or a 5970

any advice of input would be great

IF i was you I would go with a 5850, and try sell the 4890, also give this ram a go its faster and cheaper and should be better for Ocin

2nd hand 4890s still sell very nicely, I'd go with FG's advice and switch to the 5850 (or 5870).

thats not a bad idea, any recommendations on where to sell it, also would have a q9450 to sell and could possibly keep my antec 902 and i have a zalman 9700 cpu cooler atm which should be fine i presume.

Well it'll be a while until you have MM access so I suggest a well known auction site would be your best bet. I don't think that cooler supports socket 1366, though I may be wrong.

I would keep the antec 902 and sell the rest. Hope you make a decent amount.

I'd second the crossfire unless you wanna have DX11 support, then 5850 and OC, all else is pretty similar to what I have
