right basicly at the end of the year im going to have £1000 to spend on a new system, i had pretty much settled on a overclocked bundle with the i7 930

but was thinking how about amd?
never really had an amd system just wanted your thoughts on this,

its going to be a gaming pc, want it to play new games on pretty high graphics at 1680 x 1050

all i know really is that the amd route would be cheaper

as for overclocking ive only used intel, so not that confident if its different for amd any advice?

If you have a look at the link below you can compare results using Intel AMD processors, If you are wanting to spend 1k then my personal choice would be Intel.

wait till the end of the year before thinking about what to get, prices and technologies change to fast
