hi
below is my present build, do I need to upgrade or will it last for a couple more years. if I could upgrade which parts need upgrading. playing games like just cause 2 and soon black ops other than that its browsing the internet. budget if needed £500. thanks in advance

stick a GTX460 in it - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-128-GW&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1830

and overclock the cpu to around 3ghz+, which will require a aftermarket heatsink - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-029-CM&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395

the rest of your stuff is still good for a few years.

Your system is fairly good, what Stulid suggested is the sensible option.

I take it that installing that card is pretty straightforward and it will work fine with the other parts

uninstall the catalyst drivers, maybe use driver cleaner, pull the card out, stick the new one in, put latest Nvidia drivers on.

or do a complete re-install.

or, your budget is big enough to get a 6850/6870, which will be a straight swap.

Either the HIS or the Sapphire would do you well. Cannot really see why you would want to pay 10 pounds more for the Sapphire, unless you trust them more due to previous experiences and just want to stay with what you know.

Stulid's right. And of the 6850's the HIS appears to have had the slightly better reviews. Nothing in it really though.
