Hey guys, was looking to buy this from overclockers at some point during the week

with a GTS 450 for £507

but thought I could get better for the same price if I was to order parts separately, so could anyone spec me something for the same price that would outperform that.

if your happy to get the parts seperatly, then you can get much better for your money. i assume its mainly for gaming

i3 2100 is better than anything a phenom can do for gaming

I would go AMD route for gaming (heck I did) around this budget.

Buuut:

HD5850 vs GTX460 - if you can fit it in, go with the HD5850.

so what happened to the whole 'i3 2100 is better than the phenom II X4 no matter what clock the phenom is' thing that everyone (including yourself i believe) has been going on about for the past month or so

as a Phenom II X4 owner myself, anything you can show me to support what you said just now will make me very happy

That be the i5 2300, 2400 which is a quad core

also any spec I put up using a i3 2100/2120 is because the OP said no overclocking.

P.S I got a 955BE too.

Just come back and double check that something just as good (RAM/GPU etc) can be used, is cheaper etc.
