Hey

This is the first time i have atempted to build a computer and i am stuck lol. i have followed the guide on here and hopefully done everything correctly. However when i switch the computer on the fan for the cpu moves a little and then stops.

Does anyone know what i have done wrong.

Are any other of the fans spinning? If you are using a after market heatsink have you applied Thermal Paste if it doesn't come pre-applied, are you sure its plugged into the CPU Fan header correctly?

I'd remove the graphics card and unplug any HDDs not needed for now.
Plug your monitor into the motherboards onboard graphics and try again.

Make sure all cables from the PSU are plugged in properly, might take a tiiiiiiny little bit of force to clip them in fully but be careful about it.

Ahh ok,

take out the 4pin cable going to the CPU, it is supposed to be going into the 24pin slot, on the right.

there should be another 4pin lead somewhere

Edit: it might be a 4+4pin cable
