Want to know what people think of what I'm looking to buy, as if I am going to be spending this amount of money I want to make sure I get it right.

I have been saving up for a wile now to build what i would like to think of as a 'Monster PC' I have always had what I hoped to be good spec PCs but i want to build a super rig, the kind I used to dream I could have when i was a kid but never could lol

But yeah just want to make sure I get things right

EDIT: Also will my HyperX 880W PSU be enough?

Whats the use of this PC? as if its gaming then a i5 2500K is just as fast in games.

I think these PSU blow up?

Yeah its for gaming, But I'm looking to go for all out beats as that is what i have been saving this money for :P

And is that a no for the PSU? :P

Whats the pc for? I presume video editing, etc? Personally I wouldnt grab a 590....the new 6** series will start releasing Oct/Nov and the new 7*** series from Amd will be before that. Plus this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-198-XF
Is £100 cheaper and in most benchmarks it is better...Personally Though Id grab two 6970s and put them in manual crossfire...will overclock way higher than any dual core gfx card and will be cheaper than the 590 still.

What psu will you be using? HDD? SSD?

Also I'd personally say that Motherboard is unnecessarily expensive, if you go p67 chipset than the Asus p8p67 pro is £50 cheaper and sufficient for what you envisage....I suppose some arguement would be made for the ud5 if you do have dual cards as it can run both pci lanes at 16x but tbh the difference between dual 16x and dual 8x is negligible and at the sort of frame rates the cards your looking at will give you wont be getting £50 worth of better performance from the ud5.

Edit: Gaming? Then the 2600k is overkill and a waste of money, grab a 2500k and save the cash. If your really focused on the best wait a bit longer and the new sandy bridge e chips will be out december time....

Well with Ivybridge due in the first half next year, save a massive bunch of money and get a i5 2500K and a pair of GTX570 in SLI and save money and upgrade again next year.

No.

They are all next year.

The Nvidia roadmap shows Kepler for 2012.

As far as im aware the 6850/6870 equivalents are supposed to be out this year with the 6950/6970 equivalents out first quarter next year, thus if the lower end ones are out then the thread starter will be able to see whether its worth waiting? e.g will the next top end ones really be as good as they claim...plus presumably prices will start to drop in an effort to sell off stock?

Even if not true the fact remains we are right at the end of the 5** series with 6** series just around the corner...why spend £600+ on a top range gfx card that will no doubt be out classed by newer cards within...what? 4months?

maybe look at the asrock extreme 4 gen 3 or Extreme7 Gen3 mobo's.

as already mentioned if you gaming then 2500K will be fine, and might be worth holding off on a major gfx card with the new releases being close.

memory wise have a look at the 1600mhz stuff, no real need for the 1866.

Ahhh I was unaware new stuff would be coming out so soon, In that case I might as well wait and see what's around the corner.

Thanks for the heads up guys and all the info, You have most likely saved me some cash :P

^ Why 16gb of ram? for gaming 4gb would do? at a stretch 8gb....16 is just a waste of money

Also what res you playing at? With the newer cards coming so soon why waste money on sli if you dont have to? save the cash on one card, wait till next year and sell the 570 to help fund a newer card?

Edit: on a side note, that is a bargain price for a 570!

Maybe try a Gigabyte board so you have a 3year warranty and a UK based RMA center instead of having to send stuff to Holland after the first years warranty expires.

So when Sandybridge-E is released he can use the quad channel memory controller and a X79 board.

And £90 for 16GB of matched RAM isnt expensive.
