Im wanting to build my new pc.
just a couple of questions:
with this spec:
Intel Core i7-2700K 3.50GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM **Supplied with BattleField 3 PC Game**
Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
MSI Z68A-GD65-G3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
cosair Graphite 600T Midi Tower Case - Limited Edition White
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B)
Corsair Hydro H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA2011/1366/1155/1156/775/AM2/AM3)
Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP 12x BluRay ROM / 16x DVD±RW Lightscribe SATA-II Optical Drive - Black (OEM)

first would the memory fit the motherboard?
and what power supply would you suggest? (might sli graphics cards in future)

Think you've posted in the wrong forum?! I'd go for an i5 2500K over the i7 2600K, just as fast in gaming if not quicker. If the PC is for rendering/editing and gaming and the applications will use hyperthreading then go for the i7. Get the retail version as for a few £££ you get 3 years warranty.

8GB is more than enough RAM for a gaming system, especially as it's priced so low. If you plan on editing/rendering etc then you could look at getting 16GB perhaps. Also would get some without the needless heatsinks, such as these.

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB

If your planning on going SLI in the future then get a dual slot graphics card. The Asus is a triple slot one.

The Antec Kuhler 620 performs better than the more expensive Corsair H60 and even almost matches the H70 in performance. Also the tubing is more flexible which make installation easier.

Get a Blu Ray Rom Drive that is a retail unit and not OEM as it'll include playback software.

A decent quality branded 850W PSU will be enough for dual GTX570's, overclocked CPU and quite a few hard drives etc.

XFX Pro 850W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply is a rebranded Seasonic PSU.

Do you need a HDD or SSD?

If you were/are hoping to get the MSI 20% VAT cashback then have a read of the T&C's as the deadline date varies.

Thats a good solid gaming build. I personally would go for a single GTX570 or 2GB 6950 then add a second later on down the line when you want to boost performance a bit.
