Hello, I would really appreciate some recommendations for new build components.
I want to build computer for 3D modelling/animation and gaming.
3D modelling software I use: 3D Max, Maya. I am looking to develop my skills start practice creating full blown animations which will require more power out of my PC.
My current PC main components:
i7 quad core, 12GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 570 (overclocked).
It works, but I noticed that in scenes with lots of surfaces and complex lighting my Graphics card struggles (heating up quite a bit). Also my current RAM usage reaches 10-10.5 GB during render process. CPU seems to be fine.
What I am looking for:
New case big enough to fit all components (I don't like lots of lights outside of the case, something stylish but not too shiny during the night will do)
Quad core CPU
16GB RAM (if budget and system allows then 32GB)
2 x Nvidia GTX 680 graphics cards in SLI.
I need a lot of storage space (2TB) and separate system disk(500GB - 1TB) (rendering may use disk for temporary dump files extensively). I am not familiar with situation in hard drive technology development. Is SATA3 still best way to go or those rumoured SSDs are better now?
Whole system (CPU, GPU, motherboard and needs liquid cooling for maximum possible overclocking.
It would be nice to have some kind of temperature monitor that would display current situation on CPU, RAM, GPU and maybe motherboard.
My expectations are that it would cost close to £2500
Hopefully I didn't miss any key features.
