Hi, looking for a bit of help building a small pc. I've built a few pcs but they wer a few years ago and now Looking at components is like looking at a foreign language.
I'm wanting to build a nice small system that is super quiet but nice and fast. Mainly to edit photos and sort of be a media centre as its more than likely going to be hooked up to my tv.

Thinking of this motherboard

http://ie.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77I_DELUXE/

With an intel i5 2500k 3.30ghz

With this case: http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/product.php?category_id=3586&product_id=6837
Anyone used this case or recommend any similar that are better?

That's all I've got so far. Can anyone recommend a good psu that will fit an itx case and is quiet?
Also any recommendations on hdd disk and ram?

Sorry if you get asked these questions all the time, Any help would be much apreciated

that case is not out yet ;p
and get a 3750k rather than a 2500k
what's your budget?

if you're not gonna game much, even an i3 would suffice and the board would be overkill

Was going to preorder the case.

Haven't really got a budget, don't wanna go mad tho.

What i3 would u recommend?
I like the motherboard in what it can do, being able to control with iPad and stuff.

The G840 would be HD2000 graphics I believe. Certainly not bad by any stretch, and more than enough if not gaming.

Im wanting to put a blu ray player in this and connect it to my surround sound I already have. Would I get full HD without a graphics card?

food for thought
if you not wanting to put lots hdd's in it (not sure why you would they are noisey)
the new laptops going in the shops with the 4000 gfx, i3, for about the same money
they run cool, less power

just a option :p

They sound good but I want a little pc that I can connect to tv and have it as a media player, wanna play blu rays through it and music.

yes, that's correct. it would appear that the intel spec has some glaring deficiencies playing hd content
you could alternatively get an amd spec which i posted above. for hd content it would be sufficient

If I stayed with intel could you recommend a good GPU that doesn't cost the earth but will give me full hd.
Been looking some more at processors and thinking I may go for a quad core intel as I'm just getting into photography and will be doing a lot of photo editing.

Would something like this work - Asus HD 5450 SILENT 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Low Profile or MSI HD 5450 1024MB GDDR5 Low Profile PCI-Express Graphics Card

What u reckon to this:

Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe (Socket 1155/Intel Z77.DDR3/S-ATA 600/Mini ITX)

Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) -

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM

Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 500W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit

MSI HD 5450 1024MB GDDR5 Low Profile PCI-Express Graphics Card

* Sub Total : £392.44

*

I like the wi-fi go that's built into the Asus motherboard, I know I would use that a lot.

And thinking of a nice fast processor as I will be doing a lot Of photo editing.
