Been having some problem with my PC right now so thinking which way to go ,I think I need to move up a step to the next level .

But what I was thinking is it worth me going X79 Intel 4930K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge-E) 6 core 12 threads or just go for Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) chips set ,The reason I would be more for the (Ivybridge-E) would be for the higher core and more threads all so the other benefits like x16 on all lines , My only problem with (Ivybridge-E) is I don't really understand what RAM that would take is it still Dual or Quad Channel Memory Kit ? And another reason why I was thinking about (Ivybridge-E) Because I am waiting on BF4 which going to be using 6 cores as well as other cores on any other CPU but more is better right ?

All help would be welcome thanks

Stick with the 4770k, this is still a excellent cpu, if you did encoding and 3D all the time then the extra cores would be worth it, least with the 4770k your budget can go towards a nice GPU and a larger SSD.

There seems to be some confusion on my current system spec ie the reason why I was asking about this upgrades ,

At this time I am using i7 2600k 8gb of ddr3 1600hz xms3 corsair ,Sound Asus card STX ,mobo is GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 but having a lot hardware problems like crashing I am talking about that on another thread in this forum http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=24945880#post24945880

This is reason why I need to change my system its is not some thing that I am wanting to do right now but would like to get some thing that is going to last ,And do all the things that I want for the next year or so ,
