Howdy,

I'm asking for OCUK vouchers for Christmas so I can put them toward my new build, does anyone know if 8 core Steamroller will be out by then, if not when will it be out?

I don't suppose if anyone knows if the vouchers last indefinitely?

Steamroller 8 cores if they ever come out, won't be before Christmas, the APU's by the look of it are due in February, if not later.

I cant really do it before Christmas and by the time Christmas comes it might be worth waiting another couple of months I'll have to assess then

There's no date on the 8 core steamroller, it may never exist. They might just jumps to excavator.

I think whatever they release will be good but is it worth waiting for?

Depends really, I currently have a 965 and it seems to be holding up pretty well in modern games but I want everything on Ultra on BF4 at 1080P which I think my 760 can handle but the rest seems to be letting it down

I'll see what news develops between now and Christmas
