Hi,

I've been out of " the game", for a couple of years in terms of PC Gaming. Recently i've caught the bug again, but i'm only looking to pay a select few games currently, Mainly MOBAs such as League, and the new total war, warhammer.

The basis of the build comes from one of Danny75's saw from a few posts back but the GPU was out of stock, Hoping someone can recommend an alternative. B grade is fine by the way.

Also if anything can be done to bring the price down, equally apprieciated, however the usual bang for buck rule applies, i.e if spending an extra 20 quid gets me a good percentage bonus in performance, no sweat.

Thanks :)

You may be better off with the i5 6500 for warhammer, and and for a gpu, i'd recommend waiting two weeks, as the new ones are coming out at the end of the month

If budget is tight, save £10 by getting the DVD version of Win 10. If you have a USB pen drive laying around, you can download the Win 10 ISO from Microsoft, and install from USB. All you need is the activation code from the DVD packaging. Or just borrow an internal/external DVD drive to install straight from DVD.

If you hunt around, as well as check the OcUK Clearance GPU deals daily, you may be able to get a second-hand GTX 970 or R9 290 for £150-ish.

If you can, wait to see AMD's new offerings as Vish mentioned.

All in all not awful i dont think ? I've upped the CPU to the 6500 and found an r9 290 for 170,

Any advice would be awesome? I know i probably should wait for the new GPUS to drop but the one i've selected seems to be at a pretty big discount anyway,

Thanks for any help :)

You could swap out the motherboard for a cheaper H110 chipset.

The Aerocool 500 has a few extra fan mount locations.

Seasonic power supply is better than the EVGA 500W.

The Akasa fan is for the front of the Aerocool 500 case to give you some airflow. There is a 120mm rear fan already pre-installed.

The Asus H110-Plus only has 2 ram slots, so a single 8GB stick leaves room for another one in the future.

Thanks,

I've take another look at the options and come up with the below ? £650 is probably the max budget tbh.

Any improvements would be greatfully received, :)
