Good afternoon all,

It's been a few years since I have built my current PC, and am now in a situation where it is time to upgrade!

Usage will be general internet stuff and gaming.

Budget is pretty flexible but lets say £1000 for the rig. I will then be buying a monitor on top, so maybe £1300 including a monitor? Not sure on monitor costs/which are any good!

This place was a great help to me when I built my previous (and first) computer so thought I would come back!

So by a few years old I mean.. Probably around 2010?

I was intending to start fresh, but if there is any parts that I can use then sure!

AMD Phenom 965 X4 Processor Black Edition
MSI Cyclone GeForceGTX 460 Gfx 1024MB
Antec 300 case
Gigabyt M4A785TD-M Evo Mobo
Some type of 4gb DDR3 RAM. Honestly can't remember, it was a 1600mhz Corsair of some description!
Can't remember the PSU.. But would definitely be replacing that either way anyway.

That looks pretty much perfect for what I would need. I assume the 1070 is a better card though? Or is there not sufficient benchmarks available to determine that yet?

Sorry, with regards to the monitor, you'll have to forgive me but I know next to nothing about them What is free sync/g sync?
