Computer starting to struggle now - thinking of upgrading within the next 3 or 4 months, so would like to look at the rough financials of what I need to work towards. Have HDD storage, several Corsair AF/SP fans, case etc so just looking at essentials mostly.

The games I expect to play in near future are Post Scriptum and Battlefield V if that’s any help.

Budget roughly £900 - £1000.

If you're thinking of upgrading in the next 3-4 months, you might as well wait. The 8600k/8700k will be cheaper by then, and Nvidia's next-gen should have released.

A rough estimate by then might be (my speculation):

8700k - £280
Decent Z370 motherboard - £120
16GB DDR4 3200 - £150
CPU cooler - £60
GTX 1170 - £450

~£1060.
