Thinking about building a new pc have not done one for 5 years. In heard amd has now over taken intel for price. I have an intel i5 currently.

AMD RYZEN 7 3700X or
AMD RYZEN 5 5600X

Also thinking about
Seasonic Core Gold GC 650 650W 80+.

MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON MAX WIFI (SOCKET AM4) DDR4 ATX MOTHERBOARD

Or

MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI (AMD AM4) B550 MICRO-ATX MOTHERBOARD"

Or

ASUS B550M-A (WI-FI) (AMD AM4) B550 MICRO-ATX MOTHERBOARD"

The 5600x destroys the 3700x in everything except when more than 12 threads can be used. Buy the 5600x

I think the msi b550 pro is the better as you would need a b550 board to run the 5600x in ATM.

5600x is better but harder to find stock assuming you're using for pure gaming. What GPU do you have/want? What resolution and frame rate do you want?

Gpu I'll get later at the moment I need chip board and mem.
