Hi all, i'm thinking of upgrading my old oc rig "Ultima Scimitar" Intel Core i7 5820K @ 4.0GHz Overclocked DDR4 Watercooled Gaming PC with a 1070 (8yrs old and struggling) for a custom build from oc if they'll do it. i'm thinking of this setup as it will be for gaming/video editing etc. i'll be keeping it hopefully for another 8yrs so going for high end, so basically was just wondering what your thoughts are. i'm not sure on which aio to get tbh and was thinking on waiting until lian li has their new fans out that can display temps so i can get 3...

Can you give us a price and a budget? It is hard to comment without that.

There's nothing 'wrong' with your choices, but on the face of it, you're going to pay a lot of money, partly because of the premium brand tax.

If it was me, I would:
- Dump the board, £500 motherboard is just mega-ouch and it doesn't even have USB 4!
- Dump the Strix graphics card, since it is nearly £500 more than the Zotac, with 2 year less warranty.
- Dump the T700, since if you're just using it for the OS and games, you'll never notice the difference.

Which leaves something like:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £4,029.38 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Changes:
- The motherboard still includes PCI-E 5.0 graphics and 1x PCI-E 5.0 SSD, but is half the price.
- The case includes the fans.
- More SSD storage, in exchange for no PCI-E 5.0 SSD anymore.
- AIO chosen from this review.
