ASUS ROG Ryujin III 240 ARGB Performance All In One CPU Cooler with OLED Display - 240mm

TY for any input :)

For gaming, I would go with something like this. You don't need premium memory for the X3D, or a PCI-E 5.0 SSD.

What's the overall budget?

FYI: I went with black RAM and PSU because of the motherboard slots/connectors.

Edit: the digital version of this cooler may be slightly too tall for the case.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,868.87 (includes delivery: £11.98)

and let me know of any incompatibility issues or things that just don't fit I would be most grateful.
I think you're fine, the Lian Li A3 is complicated, because compatibility depends on the size and position of other components in the case.

If you're planning on OC (just guessing, with the memory chosen), I don't think B840 supports CPU OC and even though it does support memory OC, I'm not sure you'd achieve that kind of speed with this board.

I'd also not be keen on it only having PCI-E 4.0 graphics and I suspect there's no PCI-E 5.0 M.2 slot either, when you have a PCI-E 5.0 M.2 SSD in the spec.

Ok thx guys I need to go and have a think budget is £2600 ish could go £2700 it will be mainly for gaming

For £2,700 I would begrudge buying a 5070Ti (although the next step up to a 5080 is overpriced IMO) and certainly not a B840.

Tetras's build is a good all rounder. Choose your storage/case and maybe switch up your RAM depending on what you want.

You're touching on a 5090 setup with £2700, I'd want a hell of a lot more for my money than what you're looking at.

Example build:

Total: £2,876.86 (includes delivery: £11.98)

Hold in mind I've seen the 5090 dip below £1900 a few times over the past couple of months.

The CPU is arguably a weak spot, but at resolutions like 4K it matters a lot less, it's the route I would go with a view to switch the CPU out for a next gen X3D whenever they launch in 2026 if I was spending £2700. Otherwise save a boatload of cash and put together a decent 5070ti/9070XT build for £1200-1500.
