My laptop, which has been my main computer for a year now, recently died and I'm now thinking of building a desktop seeing as the laptop has probably moved about three times in the last year. I'm completely out of tune with hardware so I'm after some advice on a build, I would like something with a bit of power, was thinking quad core i5 (but I that could be on my budget) other than that I'm completely lost. The system will mainly be used for web development and some light gaming although I do occasionally edit HD video. My budget is around £550 any help would be greatly appreciated.
