Hey guys i've just finished a build but its not posting right. When it posts all i get is garbled text. I've removed the RX 7700 card and still the same, anyone know why this could be happening and how to sort it.

AMD RyzenTM 7 9800X3D
ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS WIFI
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7700 XT GAMING OC 12GB Graphics Card
Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 6400MHz
Cooler Master MWE 850 Gold V2 Fully Modular PSU
Thermalright Frozen Edge 240 Black Liquid CPU Water Cooler With 120mm PWM Fan,240
WD_BLACK SN770 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD, M.2 2280 NVMe SSD

If a different display cable and port doesn't change anything, could try one stick of memory at once?

Wonder if it's a motherboard issue though tbh. Did you update the BIOS or do anything to the board at all before this build? Might have arrived with corrupt BIOS out of the box, although think that is fairly rare...

Do you know what version of BIOS it's running? Needs to be at least 2613 (released 17/04/2024) to support that CPU.... although would have thought if it was the actual version that was the problem it would just refuse to POST at all rather than give a result like that...

tried, another hdmi cable, tried one stick;. Not messed with the bios but was thinking of doing so via Asus FlashBack as i was wondering if it the cpu not compatible with bios version. If i press ctrl, alt and delete and the system restarts but goes back to the same garbled text.

probably worth a shot at this point, because otherwise something is going back

Bios needs updating I suspect a620 motherboards often need updateing to take the 9000 CPU.

Well i updated the bios and no go, still the same garbled text so had a nose on youtube and a on Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to channel. He was installing a Ryzen cpu & Thermalright Frozen Prism 240 ARGB AIO AMD AM4 AM5 Processors. He said that tightening the cooler screws fully can stop the cpu, ram or system from posting, so loosened the cooler screws by 3 turns and the system posted straight away with no garbled text. Mad how that could do that, i just followed the cooler install instructions and it didn't say anything about the screws being too tight and i didn't even tighten them overly tight.
