New C/Car Time - Choices - Thoughts..

Merry Christmas,

I have to choose my new company car by the 17th January and having only just got access to the ordering tool what I had been wanting for months might not be what I was wanting after all....

In short I have 25k to spend over 2,3 or 4 years. The 25k includes options. I can choose from a long list of manufacturers and having driven Vauxhalls for the past 12yrs I am looking for a change.

I had been wanting a BMW 1 series for sometime but now that it comes to the crunch I have also been looking at something completely different, the Skoda Octavia.

So, 25k at the moment buys me.

116i MSport, with Msport + Package, Driver Comfort, Full Black Panel Display and Extended storage
or
Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0d, with canton, keyless start, ipod control, cruise control

Obviously small petrol car vs large diesel car but this is what is in my little mind at the moment.

This is not a residuals, BIK, affordability question, but more of a - what would you choose, and what would you go for up to 25k if you had the choice?

The BMW is a ugly ugly car. The Octavia isn't but won't be as well built. I quite like the new a 3,its getting very good write ups at the moment.

Missed this thread, I've just started one with a bit more detail in.

I've checked out the Octavia and was really disappointed. The 1 series puts me off just by looks.
