New C2D chips avalible on preorder

some people get very defensive on these forums......

it's like we should pretend there are no other retailers in the world

Its not that i got suspended for hinting and it's annoying. I as much as any other person want to just help people and if that emans mentioning that there is a half decent laptop and a better price somewhere else i don't see the problem but it's better to be safe then sorry ;)

Anyway whats the harm in helping?

Also which other forums do you use as i am looking to help people on other forums and get advice in other places,

you can email at bugsycleave at hotmail dot com, cheers

shr3k

Also how come we can't post to each other and send our email addy's out?

^^ nicley noticed. Maybe it could be something to do with the price cuts, so whe they happen the price will drop for the E4300. But still I cannot see it dropping that much.

I live in Derby so Overclockers is only 15-20 mins drive away so whenever i need something ill just pop into the shop, saves on postage and saves on waiting. Plus i get to look at the crysis demo they have playing on that luvly viewsonic monitor :D

Gona go and get the E6320, P5N32-E Sli 680 and Ocz 2GB low latency platinum ram :D :D

cant wait for saturday!

i would have shopped at *the famous film Russell crowe stard in* computers but they have moved to manchester so Overclockers is my closest computer shop apart from PC world but i aint shopping there lol!!

Well im deffo gonna get one of these new ones.

The E6420 looks sweet and shouls see at least 3.2Ghz on my board, assuming its capable of course.

But if the E6600 drops to below £150 then im most likley to get that instead :)

It sounds like it doesn't it with a 10x multiplier but i've read elsewhere that the 6420 doesn't clock anywhere near as good as a 6320.... might have been an isolated incidence but it sure was interesting reading !!

You won't notice.

And this comes from testing nearly every chip in the C2D range.

I thought that the extra cache decreased encoding times? I for one do a lot of encoding and have been waiting simply for the price cuts and the E6420 mainly for this reason.

Well it helps but at the same clock speed I argue that anyonew would notice in real terms.

The only time you see a massive amount in speed increase is with a quad core.

If you encode a lot then you will be blown away by the speed.

Anyway its immaterial now with the 6320 and 6420 chips.

They are the same price as the 6300 and 6400 chips and if they clock to the same levels you might aswell get one.

That is if you can't afford a quad core.
