Wasnt sure whether to put this in here, or in software. But anyway, the missus has bought me a JVC GZ-MG130, and I need to get some software to edit the videos with. Can anyone recommend me the best?

For ease of use and the fact you can buy it on the high street easily, I like Studio 11. However Nero 8 has some video editing tools, and so do many other packages. I'd try a few out 1st

Premiere Pro might be good but it is expensive compared to something like Elements.
Well he did ask for the best... ;)

I'd recommend it too on a Windows system, but you need a degree of knowledge on the program to utilize it's power (of which there is a LOT). I like the Lynda.com Premier Pro guide - well, the one before CS3 anyway - no idea what that's like, presumably pretty similar.

Take a look at Cyberlink PowerDirector. I use and think its brilliant.

Its probably easier to use, although if your going to do some hardcore video editing then maybe premier pro is the way to go.

I like PowerDirector as i can do some editing and make a DVD with no hassle :)
