New camera time (help)

I have had my 350d for 8 years and it has done a sterling job for most of that period. My main use is general photography, mainly at family events and holiday snaps.

Last year I went on holiday to Japan and found the camera lacking in a few areas - I took some great photos but found the resolution a little low for large format prints and the low light performance was lacking.

I'm not sure what camera to go for now (needs to be a Canon). I really don't want to spend more than £500. Looking on digitalrev I can afford a 700d or a 60d. Which is better?

Might be able to get a better camera for the money than going for a new one?

This would bring the 7D mk 1 into play, would a new 700d (£399) be better or worse than this?

The other thing drawing me towards the 700d is that it comes with the 18-55 lens, which apparently is not too bad (the others would be body only).

The kit lens that came with my 350 isn't fantastic so don't use it very often.

After going back and forth for the last few days I have ordered the 700d, now I just need to wait for delivery.
