New can, need a remap?

I was looking at replacing the exhaust on my bandit 650 but have seen various places saying it will need remapped after install. Is this true or is it a case of see how it goes?

Full exhaust system = yes remap

End can I wouldn't bother. Changed loads and fueling has always been fine.

I have a similar question.

Person I bought my CBR600FS from had the old rusty downpipes replaced with a stainless steel system following stock design with a micron can. Guessing there's no point for a remap as the design is no different.

Interesting. I had a chat with a Triumph engineer and he said they always do remaps when they change the end cans to TORs.

Had a TOR can on my 675R... no remap done and i'd say the fueling was actually smoother afterwards.

You can do it yourself with TuneECU. There's a proper TOR remap available here
