I eventually traded in the 2005 1.6 Focus zetec climate tdci for a 2 litre petrol bmw, Im looking for mpg figures to expect.

comments welcome.

edit : Its a 318SE (with a 2 litre engine, I thought it would be a 320se?)

Age mileage and price? I've gotta sell one soon!

Although mine is the 1.9, it averages low 30s mpg from a bit of mixed driving. 2 litre should be better
 
Great looking car ;)

Looks like a facelift with the pre-facelift front bumper. Works though. :)

316 or 318 will get around 35mpg average I'd imagine.
 
Nice car. Leather looks in good condition too.

Depends how you drive, and what sort of roads you drive on but I'd expect to get about 28/29 mpg unless you're doing 200 mile motorway journeys on flat roads with cruise set to 70mph or you're constantly on 50mph A roads that don't require much acceleration / deceleration.

Sure it's an SE? Looks like an ES to me, no multifunction wheel, no cruise control, manual AC rather than climate etc.

You've been mis-sold that. It's a 318 ES - not an SE. This means it doesnt have a full electric pack and it doesn't have climate control either. It has manual AC and I'm pretty sure there is no cruise control, either.

However, £8k does seem pretty good for a 54 plate with 80k miles. Not the spec I would have chosen though - it's pretty much bottom of the range.

It isn't a 320 becuase the 320 is a 2.2 litre M54 6 Cylinder with 170bhp.

I guess its an ES model, Im pretty sure its not got climate etc, I only noticed AIRCON & Recirculate, looked pretty basic on controls.(DSC button ?)
Im quite happy with the deal and its a 2l model around 141 bhp I beleive.
All i need is a set of mv 18's.

Yea, it's manual aircon.

Don't go for MV's - they wont suit a non Sport. Look for another type of wheel instead, perhaps something more original. Now you've got a semi decent car don't ruin it with cheap fake tat off ebay. Do it right.

You do provide honest advice Fox as is apparent on this forum, as do Nickxxx, Mark, Zain and more.

I understand the point on the MV's, obviously id be sitting too high on standard suspension, so whats the options on alloys ?.

Ocuk seems a decent BM forum :), are there others ?.

Any upgrades you guys think would suit please post.
