So my CR-Z got wrote off on monday and obviously i have not been looking or thinking about changing car, but now i have been forced to, and honestly i cannot think of what to get.

I do around 6k miles a year, i would like something bigger than the crz. Would like it to be reliable etc.

I had a stupid idea of buying a FK8 type R, but that would have been 3x what i would realy want to spend, and i would like ideally like to spend no more than £10k.

Yea i did look at the normal civic, nearlly all seem to be 1.0 variant for some reason i could stretch a little over £10k, there is a 1.5 CVT private seller that looks decent for just under £13k

There are quite a few people moving on their 1.0l 10th generation Civics because they don't want to pay to do the cambelt. Hence so many about.

Edit: On that Civic 1.5l CVT - the advert looks promising but Autotrader's own valuation algorithm suggests it's priced rather high for a private sale. I note that it appears to have been reduced from £13.5k already (mention in the description). Also, while Autotrader recognises the number plate details, and matches them to the car, MOT history check does not. I'd be wanting that history and an explanation. Is this a recent personal plate change, for example?

i noticed that too, if you look further down it shows that he says it will go back to none private plate HV17 DVY whuch does come up on the checker, its hard to see if its priced high since so few about, i was thinking of offereing around £12.5k, does that still sound high?
