New car, Octavia VRS estate or Leon Cupra ST 300, or something else?

I'm looking to get a brand new car, probably on a 2yr lease hire, it needs to be an estate, and I want something reasonably nippy too.

Test drove a Leon Cupra 300 DSG hatch, went in thinking I'd hate an automatic, came away wanting one...

Thinking either Skoda Octavia VRS 245 DSG with active chassis control upgrade, or Seat Leon ST Cupra 300 4Drive, anyone got an opinions on either car or recommend any alternatives?

Changing from a 2008 petrol VRS estate.:)

Adding options to a lease will make it incredibly expensive. If you want to add options it will work out much better to buy it. Leasing is good value when you are happy to take what's on offer.

There have been (maybe still going) hilariously cheap lease deals on the VRS, it'd be worth finding those, i think it was about £140ish a month but with £2000 down for one.

Very good advice. I just ordered an Octavia VRS 245 but I did add DSG and I'm tempted to pay extra for a different colour but so far my order is the standard red.

Thanks for the replies, I'm probably going to do a 1+23, works out within a hundred quid or so of any other option, but saves me the initial outlay.

The Leon comes in at about £325 a month with a £325 deposit and 8k allowance with free metallic paint, the Octavia is a little cheaper at around £300 a month with £300 deposit and 8k if I add in DCC and metallic paint, about £275 without DCC.

£1807 initial deposit and 23 * £190 per month. That’s the DSG 245 hatch with 10k PA. Trust me if you want an introduction to the dealer, they matched a broker for me.

I was just looking at this v buying new. I can get the VRS245 estate for £20k new. I need to do some maths.

£21,700 for the DSG.

You need to try harder at car shopping :p
Not been looking particularly seriously, just casual browsing, that said, you're obviously still seeing something I'm not finding as nothing I've got on the first page of Google is sub 23k :p

Work discount and VAT free delivered to Cyprus. That was for DSG, and an Estate!
