Where does this come from? Obviously all cars are manufactured differently using different parts but all new cars have a distinctive and unmistakeable smell.

Is this available to buy in the form of a spray?

Its a combination of the chemicals and glues used in production. Not good for you apparently.

Its probabaly because im used to having new cars (only hire cars mind), I dont recall a special smell in the ST when it got delivered.

While we are at it, can anyone reccomend any decent smellies for car, not a fan of the magic trees, so is there any spray etc thats worth trying?

When the forklift truck where I used to work was serviced the bloke usually gave the leather seat and controls a good clean. The cab was totally open with only a windscreen for protection but the new car smell was really strong.

I asked one of the technicians who came out to fix it after it broke down what they had used but he could only tell me it was cockpit cleaner and ask the guy who serviced it.

I left there before I saw him, wish I knew what it was.

I couldn't care less about it being Toxic it smells so good. Could be Polonium 210 for all I care lol :D

Those new car trees aren't so good at all, the vanilla one is the original and best. Oh well, just got a waft of it earlier and thought I would ask.
