New car suggestions :D

Right, we're looking at getting rid of our '99 1.8 Passat because we just keep needing to repair the damn thing, so we're looking at getting a new car.

Looking to spend a maximum of £7,000, needs to be easy to get into, as my stepdad is very tall and finds getting in and out of cars a nightmare, preferably 5 door, and fairly nippy too. Any suggestions? :)
 
Everyone else is going to suggest a BMW 5 Series, I may as well suggest it as well, but ou might struggle to get recent and nippy for that cash.

Alternatively look at the Volvo S60. D5 is good and very efficient on the motorways. The T5 is a rocket and isn't efficient anywhere. Except at making you smile.

Unless you want newer, then I'd suggest some sort of Focus.
