Hey all

Just after some opinions really. Im looking to upgrade from a 1.1 peugeot 206 for obvious reasons. Now, before people slate me for mentioning other french cars as a replacement in this french, i'd like to say my little pug has done me proud and has never messed up in the 2 years i've had it and has only required a new middle exhaust recently.

I can go up to around £7k on a car but only having 2 years no claims couldnt really go mental as of yet on an engine size. I have been looking at meganes, right upto the sport model but obviously the insurance was sky high for the sports. I have also looked at alfa 147 1.6, which i think are very nice cars, but ive seen some bad reviews on here about them? I'm basically just wondering if anyone has any input in what cars fit the bill of more power than a 1.1(not the hardest of tasks) a nice car to drive (as i do lots of motorway miles every week) and is pleasing to the eye. And before anyone says mondeo, no way!

How old are you by the way? - I have 2 accidents, no NCB, and can 'go mental' on engine size and it doesn't harm my insurance much.

What car depends on what sort of driving you do really, if you are a 'normal' person that doesn't like to go crazy and doesn't overly enjoy driving then most cars are available to you, but if like a lot of the people on here, you enjoy driving then you'll be pointed towards things that aren't French or an Alfa.
