New car time, advise please ...

My car is going to the scrapheap in the sky and i need some car advise...

The car i need needs to be able to travel 80 miles on the daily commute (a-roads - 5 days a week) and be bloody cheap to run and use. My house payments limit me massively.
So, do i buy new or second hand, i have a maximum of £7k to spend. So far i have seen Toyota Aygo, Fiat 500 - what could i get second hand ?

Guys, i need your help :confused:

You buy second hand and you don't buy a supermni to travel 80miles a day. You also buy a derv as with 20k miles you will probably save money.

if its finance then just dont, you are already clearly struggling due to home payments.

Focus/Astra ? For about 6k-7k you'd find some well priced cars there with low mileage. Ideal for longer journeys, or go for an older Mondeo as they are proper motorway cruisers.
