Any way this car is amazing, no central locking, no power stearing, keep fit windows and stereo that you can hardly hear and i love it!

the handeling is the best bit, but scary in the wet. it flys to 60 in no time (5.6 secs) and when you get to 60 it feels like your doing 100mph:D the brakes are also very good!

the worst bit about the car is that you do NOT look cool getting in and out and its even more difficult when the roof is on.

i got it for £7100 whick i dont think is too bad. it need the drivers seet retrimming on the bolster but ive bought some black and red leather seats and door panels from a 57 reg car off ebay. other than that the car is in very good condition saying its done 70k. everything that need replaceing at this mileage on these cars has been replaced including new engine mounts, shocks, springs, new brakes, new tyres, etc.

not everyones tastes but its just a fun weekend car:)

I love your car man. I think i will get the same colour combo when I get mine ;) It IS the same car that I want on all accounts including all the mods i can see!

Stock exhaust and air intake?

How many previous owners?

Pistonheads sale?

What was insurance like? how many years no claims etc?

yep stock engine

im the third owner

yep it was advertised at £7900 on pistonheads.

insurence is very cheap in my opinion at £520 (with church hill) for me and my girl friend both 25, she has 3 points and two non fault accidents. i have 5 years ncb.

The price you paid was absolutely stunning, I have not seen another that cheap. I'd have said you'd done well at £8,750-£9k.

If you have any questions, give me a shout. I'd like to think I know the car inside out now, also sell several nice upgrades :)

remember its done 70k miles. this puts a lot of people off, but it was the condition of the car that i pay for. hopefully it wont loose to much value:)

HPI will tell you if its been a total loss, it will NOT tell you if its ever been repaired or been in an accident.

trust me if these cars are involved in a smash, then it will have been a total loss. its basicaly made from two calms made from fibre glass which are very very expensive to replace. There fore many of these cars get wrtten off for slight bumps.

If this is your weekend car whats ure week car?
Never been a great fan of VX220's though I have to admit yours could turn me.
Not sure where your getting the 5.6 to 60mpg though, the N/A's no where near that.
But anyway, enjoy it, I would! :p

Edit: Wisebuyers agree to 5.6sec, power to weight I would disagree

got a company astra diesel and my gf has a golf tdi.

can you explain more about the power to weight ratio not making it do 0-60 in 5,6secs?

You cannot accurately estimate 0-60 based on weight and power becuase it doesn't take into account grip, gear ratios, etc.

to be honest im not bothered. its quick enough for my needs:)

my new black and red leather interior arrived to day woohoo:D

How are these for tall people? I remember watching JC clambering into one but he often exagerates the point for the sake of comedy.

Think im somewhere around 6'7"-6'8". Would probably look a right old tard getting in one of these.

my 6'5" uncle got it it but his knees were nearly touching the dash!

at 6'8" i would have thought ud be struggling. have a go in one and try!

Very nice car. Welcome to the family :) Why de-badged though?

That car will cost you a fortune, be warned. It's a never ending tale of upgrades. Mine's in the garage having Nitron Racing Reds fitted, a new black diffuser and geo done!

it was de-badged when i bought it. ive bought a V and it will be sprayed black and put back on.

as for up grades i will try and leave it standard for a bit. just bought a house so will be spending money on that, doing it up.
