Lo all,

Just bought myself a lovely Corrado 1.8 16v, as with all Corrados it needs a little work but will be a good solid basis for sticking my G60 supercharger on at a later date. Although id never look at a white car usually my new one is white and looks quite good, well, at least when it was clean for 2 days. Its got a straight through exhaust that really bubbles under acceleration and sounds like a turbo, a panasonic head unit and speakers all round. Its also lowered and is running 17" Dezent alloys with nearly new tyres.

All for £780 :D bargain!

Other than some small rust bits that will be easy to repair i have two main problems, one is handling and the other is fumes.

The handling seems very jumpy, it kind of skips over the road under acceleration and braking. Normally these cars stick to the road, but im wondering whether its the lowered/stiff suspension or whether the 17" are causing it. Anyone know if adding bigger wheels (15" as standard) can cause these sorts of problems?

If i have the windows down then you can smell fumes coming in, could the fact that ive no back box cause this? Other causes that have been suggested are, a hole in the exhaust or its running a bit too rich. Anyone know of anything else i need to check?

thanks
