Hey there,

Following on from this thread, Today I bought a 2001 Citroen Saxo VTR. It has 44k on the clock and is in superb condition inside and out. Best part is it only cost me £2000 :D

Whats the insurance like on a VTR if you dont mind my asking, for a 17 year old that must be financial suicide unless you live somewhere in the middle of no-where..

Just over £1800 TPFT with Quinn Direct. It's looks a lot but I've never been quoted less than £1550 on any other car. If I do PassPlus then that knocks £220 off aswell.

Also If I manage to end the year with no claims, it more than halfs. :cool:
 
the scarey thing is that i can really clearly remember the facelift saxo coming out like it was yesterday... but your is 2001. im getting old.

Pretty good on a VTR tbh, nice car mate, enjoy :)
 
I've got no idea how you are managing to get insured on that car at 17 for that price.

I'm 19 and I get quoted the same for a Ford Fiesta 1.25.....

I'll try a VTR for myself at work shortly, it should be a laugh.

I actually thought it was a little high. :o My area is also pretty crap for insurance, If I change my address to my dads It knocks over £200 off.
