Hey All,

I have an old ATI Radeon 5870 (very old) in my gaming rig and I want an upgrade to play doom eternal (and maybe some other games - CoD / Battlefield)

My monitor is 2180p and has free sync.

As the title states, I'm not looking at spending a lot, I'd actually be happy with a second hand card (if anyone has one I can come and collect - am near Nottingham!)

I would assume that I'd want to stick to AMD as I have the free sync montior. I'm also hoping to not have to update the motherboard / PSU

This was the order from 2012!;
"Krypton Z77 OVERDRIVE" Intel Core i7 2700K 3.50GHz @ 4.20GHz DDR3 Overclocked Bundle ** (30 Nov 2012 17:32:00) - I also lost my overclock in the BIOS for this, anyone know where I can get it from?

you should be able to pick up a 2nd hand rx580 for under £100.00

obviously i cant say where due to forum rules but popular 2nd hand places certainly have rx570's for £100 which come with 2yr warranty

Your best bet is to shop around for a RX580 or similar, I picked up a brand new 8GB version about 4-5 months back for £120.

You can find them second hand for under £90.

You'll need to overclock the cpu yourself, just do a bit of reading but it's not hard to do for that cpu.
Yea for 4.20GHz I think he probably don't even need to touch the voltage; he literally just have to go into BIOS to apply the XMP profile for the memory, and then change the CPU multiplier to 42, then save and exit that's it.
