New card- 7950 Drivers

Hi,

My IceQBoost 7950 turned up today and my current card uses the same drivers. I am currently on 13.11

What do you suggest? Put new card in and off you go or uninstall just to reinstall again?

What's the preferred method of fitting a new gfx card

Leave original card in, uninstall your drivers, swap cards and install drivers

Infact, as you have an intel CPU, use the amd driver cleaner utility. (I hear its a pain for people with amd CPUs as it removes everything)

So uninstall the drivers. Run that. Then put in the new card and reinstall

No need to use an uninstall tool unless you're having problems. If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.

However i would strongly recommend you take a look at the His 7950 Ice-Q owners thread. This will explain to you some problems you might encounter with the card and the solutions for then.
