New card but problems, can someone help

received my powercolor r9 280x today and had probs straight from the off with poor fps in bf4 etc so have taken the card round to my mates house to try it in there.

firstly when the card is in my machine i get poor fps and afterburner shows a constant 99% load all the time, in my mates pc it works fine on its own but not as a pair.

i had a read about disabling ULPS but when i try to do that i receive an error saying i have no key in the registry is there a way i can fix this so there is a key as im assuming this is whats causing my problems

Try a clean driver uninstall with ddu then a fresh driver install. I'm getting problems in CF ATM too. Mostly driver crashes that crash the game or lock up the pc entirely.

will try that just now but its not crossfire its a single card i have

Pretty sure disabling ulps is only for xfire, not single cards. What drivers are you using?

I'm on the 14.3 but changed between that and 13.12 Iirc numerous times but still same problems.
