my son is after new graphics card for Xmas my budget is £200 ,what i would like if possible is one that would work with his existing psu, it's a antec 500watt and his pc is a i5 with 8gb of ram

If you want to stretch just a little more, there is an offer on the Sapphire 280X on OCUK for £227 or even the MSI gaming 280X which is closer to a 7970 in terms of performance. 7950 is also a good choice.
