Hi everybody

Just purchased and installed msi rtx 2080ti. It’s big it’s nearly 3 times bigger than my previous 1660.
Any way I put in the card yesturday with every precaution from static and self damage but now I can get nothing from my 3 monitors.
Yes they are plugged in
I’ve installed no software for this previously and I can’t install drivers now as I got black screens. I do remember when I installed the 1660 I’m sure that did same but after 2nd reboot it worked but this time nothing
The card is working as it all lights up and it is throwing a signal to a monitor as it keeps saying no signal but if I took out the display port lead to that monitor it just goes into stand by

I have read somewhere that drivers need updating but how can you update if you can’t get in.
To me I don’t think it’s sitting right in the pci slot. It seems to be in there and firm but it just don’t seem right to me maybe because the card is huge. I can’t push the card in anymore to seat it better so it must be in. But as I said it’s on and lights up although the 3 fans don’t spin but just can’t get signal to monitors
Any ideas?

Power supply? Check ?
Go into Bios and check if pc can see the card.
Oh wait u can't see.
Does your intel mobo comes with build in graphics?
Stick one monitor into motherboard if it does. Then u can see bios. Go from there.

If not. Stick your old card and try update bios.

It looks like a bad card because there’s no reason why a working card would not show up on a working monitor, 3 monitors in this situation.

A PCIe 3.0 ×16 graphics card can work on a PCIe 2.0 slot but at a slower speed

Good time to send it back for a refund then wait for the 3080 to come out with is faster and cheaper.

Always reset the cmos and make sure the bios is up to date. The amount of time I had to talk things through with ppl who bought my cards

Send it back and get a refund.

Next gen cards due out in 2 weeks. 3080 half the price and a lot quicker than 2080 Ti...

Also your PC specs sound crippling, you’ll be bottle necked to hell. You can spend the £600 saved on getting a new Ryzen system - CPU, mobo, RAM and new 750w PSU at least.
