New Card not Detected?

Hi guys,

So I just got a Radeon HD 5850 today. Plugged everything in after 30 minutes of head scratching as I've never installed a new card before. The card runs when I start my machine but It is not being detected whatsoever. I tried disabling my on board card and uninstalling all the nividia drivers but its just not appearing, not even in the device manager. Any ideas as OK support line has closed now.

Have you connected both 6 pin power cables?you could also try reseating it.

Yep the card definitely has power. What do you mean by reseating? I've tried everything now but there just seems to be no way to get it to appear. If I plug my monitor into it and boot up it just says 'no signal detected'

I mean take it out and re-seat it in your pci-e slot

I was tempted to buy one of these but there are several people who have had the same problem as you with no video signal, from what I have read it seems to be a problem with certain setups.
