i been waiting for new Graphic card For 1 year and Half (thought 8800 would be refreshed sooner) any concreate info on 9900 & 4 seris

im looking for new graphics card that can run 1920x1080 (40inch HDTV) & 28inch HDTV

games i would like maxed @ 1920x1080
Counterstrike Source (80 fps constant atm on low)
COD4
Cnc3
Crysis (only pulling your leg)

few questions!
What card should do this? (9 series,4 series included
when looking at benchmarks what extra fps should i add on because most are at 1920x1200 not 1920x1080?

9600GT SLI is great bang for buck, otherwise there's the 9800GX2. Or you can wait for the 4-series which will be released later this month.

get a 512mb gts, brilliant value for money. Even the 8800gt would play the likes of cod4 easy. I game at your res btw.

wait till end of this month hopefully 4870 will come out wait a bit longer and then 4870x2

edit: nvm x2 as your motherboard will not support them not sure about 4870xt as the pci e2 so just get an 8800gtx

the X2 cards don't require a crossfire motherboard...

the budget is - there is no budget

no seriously.. i just wany best performance dont care on the costs.

might be getting 2x1tb drives soon to then my pc should one of the best for now

I would wait to see what ATI have to offer, otherwise the 9800GX2 is the best of the best at the moment.

If you can't wait then I'd recommend picking up a 8800GT for £110 now as it'll do all you need it to. Then you can upgrade whenever Nvidia and ATI release their new cards. The 8800GT easily offers the best bang for buck atm and I don't see the sense of paying silly money for small real world gains (atleast in the games you'll be playing) when there's new cards around the corner.

You'll regret blowing over £300 on a GX2 if you can get better performance for a lot less without the headaches of a dual GPU board in a couple of months time.
