New Card with DisplayPort 1.2 to use at 4K 60Hz

Ok so not a gaming card needed but I am after a graphics card that will work for video editing and general use / 3D Google Sketchup

This will be going in a new PC with a Asus-deluxe x99 and a 5820.


Just looking for something to put in there so I can recover from my spending ..

Options ...

Cheap will do 4K 60Hz
and depending how much they are .. would I be better get a more advance card for some gaming ?

prefer Nvidia but open to options ...

Basically any card that features a DP1.2 port, which the majority will do. What sort of maximum spend are you looking at?

Its finding a card that says display port 1.2 in the details ....

then you do look and try and find out and they say they will do the resolution but nothing on if this is at 60Hz

If I need to spend £150 to do it but for £200 I can get better I would ...

Edit: or keep your eyes open for a faster r9 290 at around the £200 Mark.

Yea I can wait .... going to have to a bit ask the new build is killing the bank .. so need a spend stop

Just got my case so the MB is in .. waiting on the CPU cooler so cant do much else ...

Have a white case .. I liked the look on the pics .. but mmmm not so sure .. now thinking black .. but its with me now and it will grown on me

I wanted something different and mmm it sure is that ..

not had it lit up yet so there is that

Yes a 970 would do it all and more .. and guess id not need to upgrade for a bit but mmmm the price .. but mmmm if I wait .. dam spending

well so far it been working out very hard ...

but all good bits that will last me a long time ..

had to go with a air cooler but wanted water just cant do it right now ..

also ...

ok so if I go all out and just do with a 970 ..

what one and mmmmm should I or is there one that OC let you water cool later with out invalidating any warranty ?
