I finally got back into gaming, and my XP2600, 1gig of mem and Ati 9700 no longer cuts it. So I thought of giving it a new lease of life with 2 gig mem, and I need a decent AGP card. I was looking on auction sites and there is a wide variaty of 512 meg AGP cards. Can anyone recommend me a good one? I'll me mainly playing, rome total war, left for dead and day of defeat. Overclockers due the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3850 Pro 512MB GDDR3 for £103.

The 3850 AGP 512mb is a decent 'AGP' card, BUT unfortunatly your XP2600 will be holding you back a lot.

I agree with the above, ideally its time for a full upgrade really, what kind of games are you looking to play however?

How much cash were you looking at spending on upgrades?

Yeh, I would definately be thinking about a full upgrade, there's little point in pumping money into an AGP system, when you're not going to reap the benefits.
