I am currently running 2 x 5850's and Im bored of being left behind, I have been looking at 2 options for upgrade. I have a Asus P8Z68-V MB with an I5 and 8GB Ram

what do you think to the price drops now? with the second option having £60 off this week I am really tempted, I've read the other posts on here, but Im a Noob to all this techno stuff (coz Im super old) I dont even now the difference between reference and non reference cards but would like to upgrade my GFX soon. Play on battlefield so what ever it best, or anything else in that price range.......HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, at this stage I'd just wait for the Geforce 685/780 or the Radeon HD8970. None of the cards you mentioned will be a massive boost over your 5850 CF.
 
I'm only using 1 monitor, at 1920x1080, I might wait for the 685 if you think it will make that much difference, already got 2 x ssd on the go
 
What is the rest of your rig?

A 670 is a good buy and also a 7970 is a good buy. If you are a fan of overclocking, a 7970 is the way to go but if you are not then a 670 would be ideal.

Also what games do you play/intend on playing as this also can have a bearing on what way to go?
