New card

Just brought a Palit 4GB GeForce GTX 680 JetStream have i done the right thing.Ive seen reviews on the internet,but dont know anybody who has one.Please help ..I think most of them are the same,apart from the name.

Think its because you dont see a lot about the Palit on internet..And what you read about drivers Not working right with some cards.And to tell you the truth i think im worrying about it

DSR is built for this reason. If your not 100% happy send it back. I still think you should try it

seen a few people with them here and not heard anything bad from them, the 4gb model is probably a little overkill but wont do you any harm

see if it works like a 680 4gb should, and if it does then obviously nothing's wrong with it . otherwise send it back like skylineboy said

the palit gtx 460 had a lot of bad press, dunno if they've shaped up since then ;D
they're certainly not held in as high regard as brands such as EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte etc.

Thats it ShakeNBake you have hit the nail on the head Cos were hearing all about EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte etc. Thats why i think im a bit worried about the card ive bought, I get it on tuesday. Thanks matey.Not going to worry anymore,just going to stick it in when it arrives and go from there...

Stick it in. Install drivers (304.79 is my recommendation), play and relax

I say return it and get a Giga WF 670 instead unless you have a need for the 4gb VRAM, if you can wait, then you get a better value card from a better brand

I'm still unimpressed with the Gigabyte 670 Windforce 3X.
Keep meaning to replace mine, but can't decide what to replace them with, possibly 7950/7970s or possibly another brand of 670 (probably 4GB). Don't think I'd be tempted by a 680 due to the price/performance difference over a 670.

Perhaps they arent the best option for SLI, but they are generally considered the coolest/quietest 670 out there

Only thing with palit is if where you get card from says contact manufacture and you in UK you would have to send it here for rma

I can't really compare them to any other 670 as I've not used any other 670s.

I'm not sure they're ideally suited to my case either (HAF 932).

Yeah, it's normally recommended to get reference style blower fans for SLI since they exhaust out the back, but with cards like the WF, they exhaust lots of hot air into the case which doesn't help when you have two needing cool air..
